# Security and privacy

Your calls and your customers' details are sensitive. Here is how Julius Answer handles them, in plain words.

## Your data is kept separate

Every business's calls, contacts, tasks and settings live in their own space. The database enforces this with row-level security, so one business's data can't be read through another business's account, even by mistake in our own code.

## Payments are handled by Stripe

Paying happens in a Stripe payment form inside the console. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers.

## Credentials are encrypted

Connections such as your Slack channel and calendar are stored encrypted. Sign-in links for connecting Google Calendar or Slack are confirmed by your own signed-in session before anything is saved, so a link that reaches someone else can't connect their account to your business.

## Privacy rules on every call
- Julius Answer says it's an AI assistant and that the call is recorded.
- It never gives out anyone's personal number, home address or schedule, whoever the caller claims to be.
- Caller ID can be faked, so it never reads stored details back to a caller who hasn't said them.
- It ignores callers who try to change its instructions or ask for its settings.
- It never stores card numbers, passwords or health details in its memory of a caller.
- For clinics and law firms, visit reasons and caller details stay in the console and out of emails by default.

## You stay in control
- Download every call, contact, task and booking as spreadsheets whenever you want.
- Give team members their own logins instead of sharing a password.
- Block numbers, and change or undo any setting in the console.

## What we don't offer yet

Julius Answer doesn't currently sign HIPAA Business Associate Agreements and doesn't hold a SOC 2 report. If your business needs either, [talk to us](/contact/) before using it.

## Report a security issue

If you believe you've found a security problem, please [send us a message](/contact/) with the topic "Something else" and the word "Security" in the first line. We'll respond quickly and keep you updated.
