Why we built it
Small businesses lose work on the phone. The plumber is under a sink, the stylist has a client in the chair, the front desk is helping someone at the counter. Callers who reach voicemail mostly don't wait: in CallRail's September 2025 survey of 1,000 US consumers, 82% said they would call a competitor if a business didn't answer. One full-time receptionist covers about 40 of the 168 hours in a week, so answering around the clock with staff takes several hires, and live answering services charge by the call or the minute.
We think a receptionist should be as easy to start as a phone plan: sign up, describe your business in your own words, forward your line, done. No consultants, no scripts to write, no other websites or accounts to set up.
How we build it
- Honest on every call. Julius Answer says it's an AI assistant and never claims to be a person.
- Never makes things up. It answers only from what you've told it, and brings you the questions it couldn't answer.
- Safety first. Callers describing an emergency are told to call 911 before anything else.
- Plain words. Setup and settings are done by typing or talking to an assistant, in everyday language.
- Your data is yours. Kept separate from every other business, exportable at any time.
