Julius Answer vs Rosie: pricing and features compared
Rosie (heyrosie.com) is an AI receptionist with low-priced minute plans, where direct booking and transfers start on the second tier. Julius Answer by DealsFlow puts every feature on every plan.
Updated · By the Julius Answer team at DealsFlow
Both are AI receptionists billed by the minute; the difference is what each tier unlocks. Rosie starts at $49 a month for 250 minutes, but direct calendar booking and transfers begin on its $149 Scale plan, and every Rosie plan includes English and Spanish and iOS and Android apps. Julius Answer by DealsFlow starts at $79 for 300 minutes with booking, transfers, caller memory and a built-in CRM on every plan, so Rosie fits owners who want texting, phone apps or a low-cost message taker, and Julius Answer fits small businesses that need booking and transfers at a modest call volume.

Rosie's figures are as listed on its pricing page on October 19, 2026; the annual prices and overage policy come from a September 2026 Quo article, not from Rosie. Prices change, so check Rosie's site before you decide. Julius Answer's current plans are on the pricing page.
How much would each cost at 80 and 300 calls a month?
At 80 calls a month, Rosie is $49 for messages only or $149 with direct booking and transfers, against $79 for Julius Answer Starter with both. At 300 calls, Rosie Scale is $149 and Julius Answer Pro is $199.
Assumptions: each call lasts 3 minutes after rounding up on both services (Rosie's pricing page doesn't say how it rounds), monthly billing and no add-ons.
| Service | 80 calls a month | 300 calls a month |
|---|---|---|
| Julius Answer (booking and transfers included) | 80 × 3 = 240 minutes, within Starter's 300: $79 | 300 × 3 = 900 minutes, within Pro's 1,000: $199 |
| Rosie, messages and appointment links only | 240 minutes, within Professional's 250: $49 | 900 minutes is past Professional's 250, so Scale: $149 |
| Rosie with direct booking and transfers | Scale, 1,000 minutes: $149 | Scale, 1,000 minutes: $149 |
Billed annually, Rosie Scale is $124 a month, according to Quo; Julius Answer's yearly billing also gives two months free, so Starter comes to $65.83 a month. The 80-call case also sits close to Professional's 250-minute limit, so a few longer calls would go over, and Rosie's own page doesn't say what happens then.
Where Rosie is the better choice
Rosie is the better choice for a low-cost message taker, for busy months on its Scale plan, or when website texting and phone apps matter to you.
- Low-cost message taking. If you don't need direct booking or transfers, Professional answers 250 minutes for $49.
- Higher volume with booking. Scale includes 1,000 minutes with direct booking and transfers for $149.
- Website texting. Rosie sells a website texting add-on. Julius Answer texts only people who called or texted your number, and only after your business is registered with US carriers.
- Apps and voices. Every Rosie plan includes iOS and Android apps, 10+ voices and a free website chat widget.
- Waterfall transfers and document training. Growth tries several numbers in turn and can learn from your documents.
Where Julius Answer fits better
Julius Answer fits small businesses that need calls booked and routed to the right person but don't get enough calls to justify a 1,000-minute plan.
- Booking and transfers on the entry plan. Starter books into open times and puts callers through to your team; on Rosie both start with Scale.
- Bookings you control. It offers up to three open times, and you confirm with one tap. With Google Calendar connected, it never offers a time you're busy.
- A built-in CRM. Every caller becomes a client record with calls, bookings, tasks and notes, and you can ask questions about your calls in plain English.
- Returning callers. It recognizes callers by caller ID, greets them by first name and remembers what they needed last time.
- Known overage. Extra minute packs are listed on the pricing page and never expire.
What Julius Answer does not offer: website texting, live human agents, HIPAA compliance or a free plan. If one of those is a must, Rosie may be the better fit.
