How Julius Answer works

Set up once in about ten minutes, then every call is answered, handled and summarized for you. Here is exactly what happens, from sign-up to the first call.

Step 01

Sign up and start your trial

Enter your business name, email and the area code you want. You land in your console, signed in. Choose a plan and add a card in the payment form inside the console; the payment form is Stripe's, so your card number never touches our servers. Adding the card starts the 7-day free trial, with up to 150 call minutes whichever plan you pick, and nothing is charged until it ends.

Step 02

Tell it about your business, by typing or talking

The setup assistant asks what it needs, one question at a time, and fills in the settings as you answer. You can type or press Talk and just say it. For example:

  • "We're a plumbing company in Austin, open Monday to Friday 8 to 6, emergencies 24/7."
  • "Our service call fee is $89. We don't do septic."
  • "Send emergency calls to Mike's cell, and billing questions to Sara."
  • "Call yourself Ava, and sound friendly."

Every change shows what changed and an Undo button. A short checklist on your Home page shows what's left, so you know when you're ready.

Step 03

Get your number and forward your line

A local number in the area code you chose is set up automatically after you subscribe; the assistant tells you when it's ready. Then forward your existing business line to it. You can forward only the calls you don't pick up, so you still answer when you can.

Forwarding codes (dial from your business phone)
CarrierAll callsOnly missed callsTurn off
Verizon and most landlines*72 + number*71 + number*73
AT&T and T-Mobile**21*1 + number + #**004*1 + number + ###21# / ##004#

Using an internet phone system? Turn on call forwarding in its settings. The forwarding guide has every step.

Step 04

Every call, handled

  1. It answers

With your business name, says it's an AI assistant, and asks how it can help. Regulars are greeted by first name.

  2. It helps

Answers from your information, books a time, takes a message or puts the caller through to the right person.

  3. You get the summary

An email and a console entry with the transcript, plus a booking to confirm or a call-back on your list.

Step 05

It gets better as you use it

Questions Julius Answer couldn't answer are saved for you. Answer each one once and it knows it next time. The more you answer, the fewer messages you get for things a receptionist should simply know.

Never miss another call

Set up in about ten minutes. 7-day free trial, no contract, and you keep your business number.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You set everything up by typing or talking to the setup assistant in plain English. There are no phone systems to configure and nothing to install.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. A local number is included, but you can keep your existing business number and forward calls to Julius Answer. Customers keep calling the number they know.

Can I test it before customers call?

Yes. Call your business number from another phone after forwarding. The call shows up in the console with its transcript, and the summary follows shortly after.

Can I change what it says later?

Any time. Tell the assistant what to change, like "we're closed on July 4" or "send roofing leads to Dana", and it updates the settings with an Undo button.

What does the business owner see after each call?

An email summary, an entry in the console with the full transcript, any booking request to confirm, and any message or call-back on the to-do list.
